For hospices and care organisations
Help a wish happen, without adding to your workload
Genie helps a family put what someone loved into words, then suggests people who might make a small wish real. Your team coordinates it from one calm dashboard.
How a hospice uses Genie
1
Apply
A hospice or palliative-care team sends a short application. A person from the Genie team reads it. Nothing is shared until we speak.
2
Open a private page
Once approved, the coordinator receives a private link by email. The link is the login, so keep it safe. Colleagues are added as coordinators, volunteers or viewers.
3
Open a story with consent
Staff open a story only after confirming consent from the person or their family. Stories carry a label such as “Story A”, never a medical record number, and are kept for 90 days unless extended.
4
Follow each wish to done
For every wish, staff see whether a Wish Maker has been asked, has accepted, or has finished. Contact details stay private until a maker accepts. Every action is recorded in an activity log.
What the team sees
- Open, paused and closed stories at a glance
- Stories that expire soon, highlighted
- Wishes asked, accepted and done
- A team page with roles, and an activity log
- A clear delete option that removes a story and everything under it

Sample organisation, demo data.
A coordination service
- Your staff open a story for someone, with their or their family's consent.
- The family adds memories. Genie suggests wishes and Wish Makers who could help.
- You see where each wish stands: suggested, asked, accepted or done.
Free for families. A dashboard for your team.
Families use Genie for free, with no account. Hospices and palliative-care teams can apply for the coordination dashboard. Any terms are discussed with you directly before anything is agreed.
The dashboard is built and connected to the live service, but no organisation has used it yet, so it is ready for a pilot rather than proven at scale. We publish no customer numbers or outcomes, because we would rather show you than claim.
Genie is not a medical service. It does not give medical advice or replace your care team.
What your team gets
- Stories opened only after the person, or their family or guardian, agreed. The agreement is recorded with the story.
- Roles: coordinators manage the team, volunteers open and extend stories, viewers can only look.
- A clear stage for every wish, from suggested to asked, accepted and done, and a reminder when a story is close to its retention deadline.
- Your own reference labels such as Story A. Medical record numbers are refused.
- Stories are kept for 90 days by default and can be extended. Deleting one removes everything linked to it.
- An activity log for coordinators, and private links that can be revoked at any time.
- Story AAwaiting maker reply
- Story BAccepted
- Story CDone
Staff see each story's stage, how long it is kept, and what happens next. Labels like “Story A” are chosen by your team, never a medical record number.
